Contact

Before you email me, I must caution that I don't really have time to answer most questions about the Beatles or their music. I've tried many different things to be able to answer all your questions, but I always end up with a very full inbox. I'll do my best to answer questions about the site and the Quiz, but as far as general questions, I'm sorry that I can't promise you a reply. I regret having to do this, but it's pretty much what's been going on the past few months except before I led you to believe I would reply and then wouldn't. Sorry.

FAQ

This is a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ). Please check it before you send me mail, as I often get these questions.

I have a [insert Beatles collectible here]. How much is it worth?

Unfortunately, I am not a Beatles collector, so I can't give you an educated answer to that question. There are a few Beatles trading web sites around, or you can visit a store in your area that specializes in collectibles.

I'm looking for a song. It goes: [insert lyrics here]

I obviously can't answer every single incarnation of this question here, but there are a few solo Beatle songs that I come across reasonably often.

  • That song that talks about "Uncle Albert" and "Admiral Halsey" is the song "Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey" from Paul McCartney's solo albun Ram. ("Hands across the water...")
  • The famous song "Imagine" is a John Lennon solo track from the Imagine album.
  • The Christmas song with the children singing "War is over if you want it" is a John Lennon solo song titled "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" You can find it on the Lennon Legend greatest hits collection.

I heard a new anomaly you can include on your site!

I wish I could take credit for the incredible What Goes On? anomaly list, but it's not mine. The official site for this list, where you can find instructions for submitting new anomalies, can be found here.

What does "Jai Guru Deva Om" from Across The Universe mean?

The generally accepted meaning for "Jai Guru Deva Om" is that it is a tribute to the Maharishi's guru, Jai Guru Dev. The "om" is thought to be a sound one would make while meditating.
